Diovan 80mg (Valsartan)

Composition:

Each tablet of Diovan contains:

• Active Ingredient: Valsartan 80 mg

Dosage:

• Adult Hypertension: The usual starting dose is 80 mg once daily. Depending on the patient's response, the dose may be increased to a maximum of 320 mg once daily.
• Heart Failure: The recommended starting dose is 40 mg twice daily, which may be increased to 80 mg twice daily based on tolerance and response.
• Post-Myocardial Infarction: The recommended starting dose is 20 mg twice daily, which may be increased to 40 mg twice daily after 1-2 weeks, and further adjusted based on clinical response.

Indications:

Diovan is indicated for:

• The treatment of essential hypertension in adults and children aged 6 years and older.
• The treatment of heart failure in adults.
• The reduction of cardiovascular mortality in patients with left ventricular dysfunction or heart failure following myocardial infarction.

Common Side Effects:

• Dizziness
• Fatigue
• Headache
• Abdominal pain
• Nausea
• Diarrhea
• Hypotension (low blood pressure)
• Hyperkalemia (high potassium levels)
