• Heart Failure — Hydralazine tablets are indicated as supplementary medication for use in combination with long-acting nitrates in moderate to severe chronic congestive cardiac failure in patients in whom optimal doses of conventional therapy have proved insufficient. 
• Hypertension in Pregnancy (Pre-eclampsia & Eclampsia) — Hydralazine is used to control high blood pressure in a mother during pregnancy (pre-eclampsia or eclampsia) or in emergency situations when blood pressure is extremely high (hypertensive crisis). 
• Hypertensive Crisis — Hydralazine is used for the management of severe hypertension associated with conditions requiring immediate action. 

How to Take Hydralazine 25mg

• The typical starting schedule is 10mg orally every 6 hours for the first 2 to 4 days, increasing to 25mg every 6 hours for the remainder of the first week, then further increased to 50mg every 6 hours from the second week onwards — with the dose adjusted to the lowest effective level for each individual patient. 
• Hydralazine is usually taken 3 to 4 times daily due to its relatively short duration of action — follow your doctor's specific schedule carefully.
• For oral dosing, the blood-pressure-lowering effects begin within 20 to 30 minutes with a total duration of 2 to 4 hours. 
• Can be taken with or without food — taking it with a meal may help reduce the risk of stomach upset and nausea.
• Do not stop Hydralazine suddenly — abruptly stopping can cause a rebound rise in blood pressure. Always consult your doctor before making any changes to your dose.
• Your doctor may combine Hydralazine with a beta-blocker (to prevent fast heart rate) and/or a diuretic (to prevent fluid retention) for more balanced and effective blood pressure control.
