Cortel 80 (Telmisartan Tabs)
Cortel 80 contains Telmisartan 80 mg, a once-daily tablet used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other cardiovascular events in adults at risk. It belongs to a class of medicines called ARBs — they work by relaxing blood vessels so the heart doesn't have to work as hard.

What it's used for
High blood pressure (hypertension) — lowers and maintains blood pressure within safe ranges
Cardiovascular risk reduction — for adults with a history of or at high risk of heart disease, stroke, or diabetes
Kidney protection — helps slow kidney damage in patients with type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure
How to take it
Take one tablet by mouth once daily, with or without food, at the same time each day. Swallow whole with water. Do not stop taking it without consulting your doctor, even if you feel well — hypertension usually has no symptoms.
