Cotozal-Tz Plus (Fluconazole, Tinidazole & Azithromycin) Combipack Tablets
What is Cotozal-TZ Plus?
Cotozal-TZ Plus is a combination of Fluconazole 150mg, Tinidazole 2g, and Azithromycin 1g in a single kit, indicated for the treatment of mixed vaginal infections including vaginal candidiasis, bacterial vaginosis, trichomoniasis, genital chlamydia infection, cervicitis, and uncomplicated gonorrhoea. It is a three-in-one, single-dose combipack — covering fungal, parasitic, and bacterial infections all at once. It is also recommended for male partners of infected subjects to avoid re-infection.
What's Inside the Kit
Each combipack contains: one Fluconazole 150mg capsule, two Tinidazole 1g film-coated tablets, and one Azithromycin 1g film-coated tablet, packed in an Alu-PVC blister pack.
| Component | Strength | Quantity | Drug Class |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fluconazole | 150mg | 1 capsule | Antifungal |
| Tinidazole | 1g per tablet | 2 tablets | Antiprotozoal |
| Azithromycin | 1g | 1 tablet | Antibiotic |
Fluconazole destroys the fungal cell membrane to clear vaginal yeast infections (candidiasis). Tinidazole disrupts the DNA of parasites and anaerobic bacteria causing trichomoniasis and bacterial vaginosis. Azithromycin stops bacterial protein production to treat chlamydia, cervicitis, and uncomplicated gonorrhoea.

How to Take Cotozal-TZ Plus
Cotozal-TZ Kit is a single-dose therapy and should preferably be given to both partners to minimise recurrences. Contact your doctor if your condition does not improve after 3 days or lasts more than 7 days, or if your infection returns within 2 months — you may need a different or additional medication.
- Take all 4 tablets together as a single dose — 1 Fluconazole + 2 Tinidazole + 1 Azithromycin.
- Take with food or after a meal to reduce nausea and stomach upset.
- Partner should take their kit at the same time to prevent re-infection.
- See a doctor if symptoms do not improve within 3–7 days.
Possible Side Effects
Fluconazole may cause headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, or diarrhoea. Tinidazole may cause nausea, vomiting, metallic taste, headache, or dizziness. Azithromycin may cause diarrhoea, nausea, abdominal pain, or rash. Side effects are generally mild and resolve on their own.
Important Warnings
- Do not use if you are hypersensitive to fluconazole or any ingredient in the capsules.
- Not safe during pregnancy — consult your doctor before use.
- Avoid alcohol during treatment and for at least 72 hours after taking Tinidazole.
- Dosage is for adults only — not recommended for children.
- This is NOT a contraceptive — Cotozal-TZ Plus is not a birth control pill; its primary purpose is to treat infections.
