Nucard 80 (Valsartan) Tablets
What is Valsartan 80mg?
Valsartan 80mg is a prescription medicine used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and heart failure. It belongs to the Angiotensin II Receptor Blocker (ARB) drug class, which works by blocking a hormone that tightens blood vessels — allowing them to relax and making it easier for your heart to pump blood. The 80mg strength is commonly prescribed as a starting or maintenance dose, particularly for patients new to ARB therapy or those requiring a lower dose.
What is it used for?
- ✅ High blood pressure (hypertension) in adults
- ✅ Heart failure in adults who cannot tolerate ACE inhibitors
- ✅ Reducing cardiovascular risk in high-risk patients
How to take it Take one tablet once daily, at the same time each day. It can be taken with or without food. Swallow whole with a glass of water. Your doctor may adjust your dose over time — always follow your prescription instructions.
