Dibimet-1000 SR (Metformin Hydrochloride 1000mg) Tablets

Composition:

Each Dibimet 1000mg SR tablet contains 1000mg of Metformin.

Dosage:

The usual starting dose of Dibimet 1000mg SR tablet is 500mg once daily with the evening meal. The dose can be gradually increased by 500mg every 1-2 weeks based on blood glucose levels, up to a maximum of 2000mg per day. The tablet should be swallowed whole and not crushed or chewed.

Indications:

Dibimet 1000mg SR tablet is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, particularly in overweight patients, when diet and exercise alone have not been sufficient to control blood glucose levels. It helps to improve blood sugar control by decreasing glucose production in the liver and increasing insulin sensitivity in the muscles.
